Solve Status

The browser launch response only confirms that the browser was started. CAPTCHA completion is reported inside the top-level page.

The built-in extension publishes a read-only status object through:

The data-nst-captcha-status attribute on document.documentElement

The nst:captcha-status browser event

No CAPTCHA token, API key, account balance or authentication credential is exposed through this status object.

State	Description
idle	No active or recent CAPTCHA task exists.
solving	A supported CAPTCHA is being solved.
returned	A solver result was returned but has not been confirmed as applied to the page.
applied	The result was applied to the page. The website may still validate it during submission.
solved	The native CAPTCHA widget reported success.
paused	Automatic solving is paused, usually because Credits are insufficient.
error	Automatic solving failed.
unavailable	The CAPTCHA service or runtime is temporarily unavailable.

The availability value is used for runtime availability notifications and is not a CAPTCHA type.

When to Continue

Use solved when the automation requires confirmation that the native CAPTCHA widget reported success.

The applied state means that the answer was inserted into the page. Continue with the website action and wait for a business-level condition such as:

Navigation to the next page

A successful network response

The expected authenticated element

The disappearance of the CAPTCHA form

The appearance of the expected business content

Do not treat returned, the browser start response or the presence of a solver token as confirmation that the target website accepted the CAPTCHA.

If no CAPTCHA is expected on the page, wait for the normal business condition rather than waiting for a CAPTCHA terminal state. If the status attribute is missing for an extended period, verify that CAPTCHA Solver is enabled for the Profile and plan, then stop and restart the browser.
